JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for coaching and guiding student-athletes to develop a high level of skill while fostering discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. The selected candidate will follow the direction of the Athletic Director and/or Principal, assist in establishing performance and eligibility standards for interscholastic competition, and encourage all participants to maintain high standards as students, citizens, and athletes. The junior high girls basketball season begins in late October and concludes before Winter Break (12/18/26).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, run, jump, stretch, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly list and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The employee may occasionally climb stairs, ropes or ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment includes outdoor football fields, stadiums, locker rooms, weight rooms, athletic training areas, school facilities, buses, and other practice or competition settings. The employee regularly works outdoors and may be exposed to rain, wind, heat, cold, humidity, uneven or slippery surfaces, mud, dust, and varying field conditions. Noise levels are frequently moderate to high due to athletes, spectators, whistles, public-address systems, and other game or practice activities. The employee may also be exposed to athletic equipment, physical contact associated with the sport, bodily fluids, blood, and bloodborne pathogens.
